Price D. Maples Sr. was born in 1943 in Lexington, Ky. His heartfelt pride of his hometown has brought his photographic talent alive. He was raised among some of the older, now non-existent architecture, that in their day were very desirable abodes. Progress and time called for that change.
Now, his mission in life is to capture the art of the old and new sites of Lexington and other parts of Kentucky that people have loved and will love to visit with their families.
They will in turn instill the pride we all should have in our town and state. His photos present Lexington and other Kentucky sites at their best. He sees beauty in all the subjects he chooses to photograph, and it shows. He wants to promote his town of Lexington and the State of Kentucky so others can find the joy of the beauty of “The Bluegrass” and what it has to offer. The phrase, “A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words”, is really true in his case, and he will strive to keep it that way.
Price loves art so much that he is the owner of two Art Galleries. The first of which is called, The Starving Artist Outlet, located at 1066 east New Circle Rd. Suite 8, Lexington, Ky. 40505. The second Gallery is called, Kentucky Art and More, located at 1066 East New Circle Rd. Suite 5, Lexington, Ky. 40505. The Galleries offer other local and well known Artists prints, as well as oil paintings, regular prints and posters, already made frames and custom framing. By owning and operating two Galleries, Price can keep his love of Art flourishing as well as giving people the opportunity to purchase his Art and the Art of many others.
